Reina: I never wanted to leave Anfield

Pepe Reina has once again pledged his future with Liverpool, insisting he never wanted to leave Anfield.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from Merseyside, with clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United both interested.

However, the 28-year-old insists he is more than happy with life at Anfield and is already looking forward to next season.

He told Radio MARCA in Madrid: "I am happy at Liverpool and so are my family. I've never wanted to go.It is true that we have improved a lot this year but we have to keep growing."

Reina also gave his take on Barcelona, who were the newly crowned European Champions after beating Manchester United 3-1 at Wembley last week.

He added: "They're the best team I've seen in my life. Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta are the best players in their position in the world. They are a world leaders in every sense.

"Fortunately, they are Spanish, They're the two best players in the world at giving the final pass.'
Reina joined Liverpool from Villarreal in July 2005 and has made over 200 appearances for the Reds.
