Premier League Transfer Rumours: 19th June 2011

We are into day of luka modric- chelsea love affair and unsurprisingly, Modric's bosses at Totthenham dont seem to be very jaunty. Chairman Daniel Levy released statement yesterday where he declared that Modric wasnt for sale at any price and even criticized Chelsea for going public with their interest. Harry Rednapp gave an emotional innterview where he seemed to put more pressure on Levy rather than Modric. Its the Dimitar Berbatov situation all over again and we feel Spurs are resigned to losing the midfielder and hence are desperate to spark oo a bidding war to make this their cash-cow.

On a related note, The Metro claims that Chelsea are prepared to oofer Michael Essien to sweeten the deal. The Ghanaian has strunggled for form in recent times and could act as a makeweight in the deal for Modric.

Done Deals

Newcastle have completef the signing if renner midfileder Sylvain Marveaux, a mere 24 hours after he failed a medical at Liverpool. The winger’s groin problem caused his move to Liverpool collapse. But Newcastle’s medic are confident that the groin injury sufferd last year will not be a problem. The 25 year- old signed a five- year deal as he becomes Alan Pardew’s 3rdd signing of the summer following the arrival of Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye.

 Spicy Rumour

Well that’s what the News of the World wants us to believes as they report that Dider Drigba could be on his way to Malaga after Manager Manual Pellegrini added the dtriker to wich list. Drogba’s future at Stamford Bridge has been uncertain since the arrival of Fernando Torres (ex-Liverpool.hehe)and Chelsea’s repeated attemptes to sign Neymar have only intensified the speculation of his exit.

David Villa could be on his way to eitherMan City or Chelsea if you believe sources at Barcelona. Barcelona are keen to bring Fabregas, Giuseppe Rossi and Alexis Sanchez, but with the summer transfer kitty restricted to 40m, Pep Guardiola might be forced to raise cash through Villa’s sale.

Sounds Realistec
