Dalglish eyes £16m Henderson

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is set to make a surprise move for highly rated Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Dalglish wants to strengthen his midfield as the Reds look to reclaim their spot in the top four of the Barclays Premier League and qualify for the Champions League next season.
Now according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Henderson has emerged as his top target for the summer transfer window.

The England international has attracted considerable interest from several top clubs such as Manchester United with his impressive displays at the Stadium of Light.

And in the fear of losing out to their bitter rivals, the Reds are ready to make the first move.
However, the Black Cats are expecting nothing less than £16million for their prized asset and could be willing to cash in on Henderson as they look to raise their own funds.

Meanwhile, Dalglish is also keeping an eye on Blackpool captain and long-time target Charlie Adam.
The 25-year-old was on the brink of a move to Anfield in January but a deal collapse at the last minute as the Reds were unwilling to match the Blackpool's demands.

But it's a whole different story now that the Tangerines have been relegated from the Premier League.
